The WAYNE SWS50 12 HP Cast Iron Shallow Well Jet Pump is a great option for those with shallow wells. The pump can create 50-60PSI of pressure, which enables users to push water vertically. However, the pressure will drop off quickly as the water is pushed upwards. It is important to have a minimum of a 1-gallon pressure tank with the pump to make the pressure switch turn on/off reliably. It is important to note that if the water level is not at least 5' above the top of the sandpoint screen, the water level will get sucked down to the top of the screen, which will cause air to be sucked in and over time it will kill the pump.
