Electronic Dictionaries & Thesauri Editorial Review

The Webster's School Thesaurus 1st Edition has garnered mixed reactions from customers, particularly amongst parents and educators. Many users appreciate the practical, hands-on approach that a physical thesaurus provides, especially for children. They find that searching alphabetically is an easier and more engaging experience than digital alternatives like thesaurus.com. Customers have noted its usefulness for older children and as a valuable resource for homework and language arts projects. The thesaurus has been described as a beneficial addition to reference materials and is well-received by students who utilize it at school. However, there are significant critiques regarding the thesaurus's functionality. Some users express frustration with its structure, noting that it often leads them on a wild goose chase through multiple terms without arriving at the intended substitute. This has left several customers feeling that it does not deliver the straightforward support they seek in a thesaurus, deeming it "useless" for practical word lookup purposes. Overall, the Webster's School Thesaurus is a practical resource for younger and older students who enjoy engaging with physical books; however, its organizational layout may not meet everyone's needs for quick and efficient word retrieval. **
