This product is advertised as a floating isolation transformer. However, one customer reported that the transformer is not actually an isolation transformer, and has a voltage potential of 182 volts between the hot lead from the transformer and the hot receptacle of the wall plug. This is extremely dangerous and can cause electrical shock, as reported by the customer in question. Additionally, another customer reported that the circuit breaker was unable to respond fast enough to protect the transformer, and that it never tripped in their case – resulting in smoke. However, one customer did note that they give the product 4 stars because it is very low AMP.
