The Akebono ACT465A Proact Ultra Premium Ceramic Disc Brake Pad kit is highly recommended for Honda cars. These brake pads come with shims and are made of ceramic compounds and copper, which are better than semi-metallic pads with steel fibers that can ruin rotors prematurely. However, the kit only includes one backside clip for the brake cylinder. It is important to install them correctly on the front and the rear, as specified for each model. Customers confirm that the pads fit various Honda models, including 2014 Honda Civic LX. If you experience a burning smell from the brakes, it might be due to worn out flexible brake hose ends, which can be replaced to prevent pad damage.
