It is recommended for moderate to high reps to strengthen and maintain healthy hands. The gripper has been designed for longer life compared to conventional grippers, but performing excessively high reps can reduce its lifespan. The Zenith grippers are not rated in direct comparison to Captains of Crush (COC) grippers because although the two grippers are designed to work together, they feel very different. Zenith's grippers have limits as far as grip strength is concerned. Zenith 2 is in between a COC 1 and a COC 0.5, while Zenith 1 is between a COC trainer and the COC sport. The gripper is comfortable to hold and great for those who do not have very strong hands. It is recommended to warm up before using the gripper, and several sets of low reps are recommended 2 to 3 times a week before progressing to the next level of COC gripper. One reviewer had an adverse experience as the gripper rusted after a week.
