The Touchless 2 Step Wash is safe to use on matte paint and will not strip off existing wax when used as directed. The process recommended is to mix 1 part soap to 3 parts water and then apply soaps with COLD water. Rinse with hot water, but don't use hot water to apply soaps as this can degrade chemicals and decrease effectiveness. Foam on #1 and let sit for a minute; then apply #2 directly overtop #1 to neutralize it. Let sit for 1-2 minutes. Rinse from top down, going back and forth, making sure your rinses overlap the previous one for best results. Customer
