Traxxas Car & Truck Bodies Editorial Review

The Body Conversion Kit for Slash 2WD has received a predominantly positive reception among users, particularly regarding its ease of installation and enhanced convenience. Customers appreciate the departure from traditional clips, citing the ease of removal and secure fitting of the kit. Many reviewers highlight that it significantly improves the user experience by eliminating the hassle associated with losing clips and washers. Installers mention that while the absence of clips is a favorable feature, it requires some additional tools like a body reamer or a specialized drill bit to ensure proper fitment without damaging the body. However, some dissatisfaction arises from compatibility issues, especially for users with older Traxxas bodies. A few reviewers noted that the kit does not fit certain models (e.g., Traxxas Ram body) without modifications and that the body height can appear visually off once the kit is installed. This has led to concerns regarding Traxxas's proprietary design choices, which limit compatibility with prior models. Overall, while the kit simplifies the mounting process and enhances aesthetic appeal, potential buyers should be aware of its limitations regarding compatibility with older body designs. **
