What Stands Out
제품 세부 정보
- In 1927, the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal, made a long speech in front of the deputies of his party, which would later become famous under the name Speech. For more than thirty-six hours, the future Ataturk told the story of the founding of a national state. At the end of the First World War, this soldier revolted against the government of Istanbul and rejected the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire, planned by the Allied powers under the Treaty of Sevres. By establishing the Republic on October 29, 1923, he declared his aim to make Turkey an independent and secular country open to the West. For this purpose, he would carry out a series of comprehensive reforms from his new capital, Ankara. Show more
