The SpinCare Vinyl Cleaner is a manual record cleaning machine that offers a step up in performance from using a spray and cloth. Though it won't match the performance of a powered machine like a Moth or a Pro-Ject, it functions as a low-cost machine that delivers plenty of bang for your buck and gets one up and running quickly. The solution contains 10% isopropanol and 90% water, along with other surfactants and additives to aid the cleaning process. Positive reviews indicate that the SpinCare Vinyl Cleaner works well in cleaning records, even those affected with mold. The machine is also credited with delivering a significant decrease in crackle and pop, bringing previously unplayable records back to life. However, some variability in the performance of the cleaned records was noted. A major downside to the product is its flimsy build and its brushes that do not meet properly or grip the record well. Turning the vinyl around the device could also be challenging, particularly for thick US Pressings.
