- BALVENIE 12 AMERICAN OAK: Described as an adventure in flavour and flame, this first release in The Balvenie Stories series tells the tale of Apprentice Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie who created this expression with twice toasted virgin American oak barrels from Kentucky. Bottled at 43% abv, this 12-year-old is a fruitier variation of The Balvenie with deliciously sweet fruit flavours and rich toasted oak notes.
- BALVENIE 12 SINGLE BARREL: The Balvenie Single Barrel First Fill is a 12 year old single malt whisky, aged in a first fill, ex-bourbon cask. Almost all Scotch whisky is matured in casks previously used by Bourbon distillers. When brought to Scotland and used for the very first time they are known as ‘First Fill’.
- BALVENIE 12 DOUBLEWOOD: Balvenie Doublewood has been matured primarily in ex-Bourbon barrels before a finishing period in Sherry casks.
- The overall impression is one of silky smoothness with some gentle spice and dried fruit flavours coming from the Sherry finishing. Not at all a blockbusting sherry monster, this is very subtle and easy going.
